Robert Strivens

Robert Strivens is pastor of Bradford on Avon Baptist Church, where he has been since 2017. Before that, he was Principal of London Seminary for nearly ten years. He continues to teach church history at the Seminary and at other institutions. He has published articles on a variety of historical and pastoral topics. Robert is married to Sarah and they have three sons and several grandchildren.

This course is an in-depth study of the history and theology of the Patristic and the Medieval Church. Special attention is given to the formulation of the doctrines of the Trinity and of the person of Christ, the development of monasticism and approaches to Christian spirituality, and dissenting movements leading up to the Reformation.

Course Details

The lectures for this module will be held over one week, the 22-27th of September:


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7pm-10pm

Wednesday and Saturday 9am-5pm
